Shame that the translation was so terrible that made it hard to figure out what the hell was going on. Eastern european games always have that problem where it feels like one-third of the plot is lost in translation.
Double shame that when the time came for a remake that could've fixed that problem, they dropped the ball big time. The original gave you a choice of playing as 3 characters, each with a different story arc and coming in at different points in the plot. The player was meant to play the visiting doctor first. As an outsider, you were introduced to the town gradually with characters offering lots of exposition. For the remake, they limit you to one character, and it's not the doctor. You're thrust into a point of the story with no exposition and it makes very little sense without having previously played through as the doctor.
