setting up for major martyr posturing ahead of GA court appearance?
I mean, I'm just saying words, literally no fucking clue here.
Sometime miss Lindsay gets lonely and lashes out to get attention.

GOP: "Let the states decide abortion!"
STATES: "We want abortion to remain legal."
GOP: "We need a federal ban on abortions!"
Binro the Heretic
Also, I doubt it would pass, even if the GOP manages to win a majority.
This is mostly just pandering to the lunatic fringe in their districts.
They know they've got the mainstream Republican voters locked in. Those assholes vote Republican no matter what. They don't care if LGBTQ+ people get burned at the state in public as long as they get the promise their taxes won't go up.
But to beef up the numbers, the GOP is willing to cater to the racists, misogynists and whack jobs who believe in reptilian aliens.
There is no bottom for the GOP shitpit, so never assume they’ll never do a terrible thing if theyre given the opportunity.
Conservatives have never been constrained by the need for consistency in their ideology or statements.

I honestly don't think any of this is going to end up noticeably backfiring.
The base will love it.
The "traditional" Republicans will rotefully check off anything with an R next to it.
Undecideds will be properly scared by black & immigrants peril propaganda, just like liberal European nations are seeing now.
The opposition will still be coming up with excuses how Democrats aren't doing enough and therefore don't vote at all.
Agreed: this is Republicans delivering on a long-term goal that their voters want, and it's Democrats choosing not to protect a right that is supposedly fundamental to their identity as a political party for cynical fundraising reasons.
Only diehard Democrats would consider this to be a bad thing politically for the Republicans.

I think it's going to be bad for them in the short term. We'll see about the long therm. Republican overreach is the Dem's major selling point, so it could be good for them. I'm not sure how much "vote for us to stop this thing" and then not stopping the thing voters will put up with though.

ha ha, you immediately turned to your sockpuppet account.
Whether you're serious about your shit opinions or imagine yourself at some circa 2001 Something Awful troll mastermind, you really are worthless, dude.
The 2016 election ruined everything (see above example). ^^^
Commenters on this site used to mock videos and generally enjoy one another's company. Now everything follows the pattern of
(A liberal-leaning person makes a comment.)
(The obvious conservative shows up to start an argument.)
(The liberal argues back.)
(The conservative digs in deeper.)
(And it goes on.)
Seriously, WHAT HAPPENED TO US? The same thing has ruined 4chan and so many other places. Six years later, we're still fighting, and this site is a microcosm of culture and political war ruination.
actually there used to a lot more conflict and it was fun because not everybody was an emo bitch about it
The conflicts were amusing, not miserable. We had the likes of Billly Buttsex in here. We had the Naruto guy, with his hard-on for the police and pedophilic tendencies, who kept getting banned, making new accounts, and then making it painfully obvious it was the same dude. We had Slagathor. The Web 1.0 POE community was an island paradise. Now it's divided and bitter like everywhere else.
