a flaming monkey - 2007-12-31
Expect a riveting story, what with its 30 odd characters, distinguished only by colour and size.

StanleyPain - 2007-12-31 Also, I dunno if this has been mentioned anywhere yet, but all this DA reject crap of battling warrior cats/tigers/wolves and whatnot is all a huge ripoff the Warriors series of books, which in itself is basically a huge rip off of numerous other fantasy novels, only using all cats as the characters. I didn't know this until I started working heavily in the book department of the store where I work and basically every third parent wanted to know where the "Warrior" books were. Check them out if you want to see evolved and published furry faggotry.
|
EvilHomer - 2007-12-31 Yeah, I remember seeing them a lot a few years ago at work, and thinking how children's book authors really aren't trying anymore. "What the hell?" I sez to myself "fluffy kittens who just so happen to be angsty warriors on super-mature adventures to beat the crap out of other angsty warrior kittens?! You'd have to be an idiot to read these things."
And it looks like I was right.

|
dead_cat - 2007-12-31 Just now looked this up. MOTHERFUCK, I no longer feel all that weird for having been a fan of the "Ratha" books as a kid. Compared to this shit, "a species of prehistoric big cats flirts with sentience before going extinct" is almost respectable.

theFlu - 2007-12-31 "super-mature adventures"
hahahahaha

eatenmyeyes - 2008-01-01 Warriors, come out to play-ay...

Xenocide - 2008-01-01 Wikipedia says:
The second series is centered around seven cats from all four different Clans; the ThunderClan representative Brambleclaw (formerly known as Bramblepaw), the ShadowClan representative Tawnypelt, the WindClan representative and apprentice Crowpaw, the RiverClan representative Feathertail, Feathertail's brother Stormfur, the ThunderClan apprentice Squirrelpaw, and her sister, Leafpaw. As the series progresses, six of the cats find a new home for their Clans and guide them there. It also follows Leafpaw's life as a medicine cat apprentice.

More emo fursonas than you can shake a stick at.
|
kingarthur - 2007-12-31
The first thrty minutes of this epic will be the characters themselves trying to remember who the fuck they all are. "Wait, i thought i was the crying emo leopard-spotted one."
|
Scynne - 2007-12-31
I hope they release this to DVD, just so I can actually pay for a copy.

I see this as similar to a Van Gogh, in that no sane person will like it while the artist is alive, and unlike Van Gogh in that no sane person will like it in 100 years after he's dead, either.
|
Merzbau - 2008-01-01
The concept of a "DeviantArt reject" is fucking terrifying and this video delivers in spades. A++++, would gouge own eyes out again.
|
dead_cat - 2008-01-01
We should totally finish this project for him, "Wolf Movie"-style. Of course we have to wait unti he stops naming things and starts on the actual PLOT.

I've been feeling somewhat depressed about the quality of my own artwork lately, after watching this, I don't feel so bad.

Caminante Nocturno - 2008-01-01
Crookedstar was the only distinguishable one, because he had such a giant face.
Speaking of size, I have to commend the artist for making it impossible to figure out if these are big cats or house cats.

OK people, for fuck's sake, stop posting negative comments on his Youtube page. If he discovers he's been caught, he might not finish this video, and if I lose the chance to see BATTLES and ROMANCE because some 4chan wannabes mocked him into suicide a couple weeks too early, I will personally hunt you down and give you a bouncer-style beating.
Unless the assholes are finding this video through some other channel, in which case, nevermind. We straight, yo.

theFlu - 2008-01-02 yes.
they need to refresh their poe-etiquette / re-read the guidelines. dabbling wrecks success.
