Their first time playing, and its on Expert? They did very well.
It comes as no surprise that it was the guitar that failed out, as its the most removed from playing the instrument.

What is this fascination with bands who fail their own songs in Rockband? I mean, yeah it's kind of funny, but these are guys who usually aren't too big on gaming, and probably don't play Rockband.
The instruments are not really very similar to their real counterparts (except in vague, mechanical ways), so why should someone like Rush instantly master their own song?
In fact, the Tom Sawyer in Rockband is a cover, so it's weird they're even playing it in the first place when Working Man and Closer to the Heart are their only licensed songs in the game.

theSnake - 2008-08-07 How can a song be a cover in the game when you are the lead singer. Every song is a cover when you play rock band unless you are Geddy Lee.

Oh god the buttons and pedals. I despise these plastic plops and clops.
|
Bone_Vulture - 2008-08-08 Yeah, that plastic clop sound is like from some hideous experimental drum machine.

Mmm. Meta-gaming commentary.

A bunch of 50-something Canadians, who have been doing this what like 40 years, being told they suck by a video game aimed at air-headed teenagers! They probably get the same kind of shit from Jonas Brothers fans IRL! Still they are cooler than the rest of us!
