I am going to four star this to underscore the point that, awful rhetorical approach aside, the man is substantively correct on almost every topic addressed.

SolRo - 2008-11-08

5 for making pat confess his stupidity on national television, regardless of how it was accomplished

Ursa_minor - 2008-11-08

The 'ask-a-question-the-talk-over-the-answer' thing drives me insane.

phalsebob - 2008-11-08

"What made her so popular in the beginning?"

That's a great question to ask because answering it makes you look like an ass, even though it's true. Donny Deutsch was not afraid to look like an ass.

frau_eva - 2008-11-08

Honestly, if I was on a show where valid points about necessary qualifications of a VP were being giggled derisively at, I'd probably lose my shit and start calling Pat ignorant too.

baleen - 2008-11-08

Did something not involving ingrates yelling happen? Isn't this what all these shows are like, all the time?

SolRo - 2008-11-08

well since the loss that bitch and that old man have been trying to make palin out to be either a victim of accepting VP nomination, or as a genius.

Why do we keep telling the enemy what they are doing wrong? Let Palin run. Let them take pride in ignorance. Let them be the party of hate.

Reagan WAS relatively ignorant. Not to say he was a bad president, however.

Camonk - 2008-11-08

I'll say it: Reagan was a bad president. If not for Nixon (at the time) he'd have probably been worst. Now he's relegated to a paltry third or fourth depending, cause I mean yeah Hoover was pretty shitty, too. I hate the sanctification of Reagan sucked. He sucked wind.

HankFinch - 2008-11-09

I'm biased against Reagan, cus once when I was a little kid I looked in the paper at the television times and when I saw "Star Wars" I was all excited! Hours later I find out its some crap about his missle defense blah blah blah...

baleen - 2008-11-09

I'm biased against Reagan because my pops worked for the EPA in the first administration, the one that led to over a dozen convictions of Reagan picks in EPA department heads. You can imagine what working under those people must have been like if you actually gave a shit about the environment. He made it all the way up to GS16, which is one notch below the Director of the EPA, but was blacklisted by Republicans that didn't like that he fired a contractor that was getting shitloads of money just to exist but didn't actually do anything.

Reagan is shit, and with any luck the Reagan coalition, the Reagan revolution, and the nightmare of Reaganomics will be a thing of the past.

Caminante Nocturno - 2008-11-09

I'm biased against Reagan because I have family in Nicaragua.

The man was a bastard.

Reagan was the puppet idiot who let his crones run the show, but ignorance is not innocence, and in any other place of business, if you can't control your subordinates, you'll either be fired or asked to resign. So even if Reagan "didn't know what was going on" or "can't remember", that doesn't make him innocent. I will concede he was quite charming and a very eloquent speaker (if you allowed yourself to be snookered), but a crime is a crime, and justice should of been served. To all those going "Man, Reagan's dead, just let it go.", let me quote the late, great Bill Hicks: "Fine. Just don't mention Jesus to me, if we're talking shelf life here!"

Paranatural - 2010-03-21

Agreed: The Regan worship is something horrific. The man was was a sock puppet for various military contractors and special interest groups.
