My guess is since the only thing in recent memory I can think of that's out now for kids is that squeakel nonsense, I presume this is Pride's way of counteracting that(?).
That said this short is amazing, I like my silent protagonist whimsy with a nice dark/ironic twist. Plus the lighting and the way the camera follows the character around is all kinds of great. Now based on what i just saw I'm gonna go infer that either:
A. Don't go in stores and touch the merchandise without permission or you'll turn into a dead eyed doll.
B. Don't write shit in chalk on the outside of buildings creating unintentional half-assed graphitti, otherwise you'll be tempted to walk into stores and... well you know the drill.
Actually I would dare say he was heavily inspired by Gaudi's architecture or some of his contemporaries in Barcelona. There is a window very much like that one in Barcelona.
