I've never seen this show, but I can't possibly see how a cartoon revolving around THE COSMO DNA is in any way superior to Superfriends.
Let me ask you, something, friendless hair explosion: How many episodes of Starblazers involved a space eskimo freezing the world? Because Superfriends pulled that shit every week before the title sequence even ended. All you've got is some kind of potato monster telling Captain Santa Claus he had a dream about his cat.

Bort - 2011-03-24 Original Japanese name was something like "Radiation Neutralizer"; it was a big radiation-neutralizing machine (surprisingly enough).

This guy's mostly spot-on.
"Star Blazers" has its weaknesses (the voice actors are often ear-damaging), but for an early smarter cartoon, it does very well. Oh, Chris Latta provides the voice of Sergeant Knox.

I think this guy is part of "Anime Hell;" a show that goes to conventions and plays found footage followed by parodies. Kinda like PoeTV, just in a crowed room, no politics, and a lot less complaining about the Simpsons.

Space Pirate Captain Harlock was better anyway

This is a cautionary tale to today's young anime nerds. Get too deep into Japanese cartoons, and this will be you in thirty years. You'll be an actual adult narrating a half-hour treatise on how Naruto succeeded because it was better than Total Drama Island.
