I disagree, that was awesome.
What non wrestling fans don't understand is that running around and doing the worm makes the move hurt more.
Yeah, it's purely a matter of opinion.
Preface: Me and a buddy of mine have been watching the Rock's best matches on Netflix recently and during a tag match where Rock and Mankind were performing a "Double People's Elbow" on the Big Show, I said how wonderful that Rocky took perhaps the most vanilla move in wrestling (the elbow drop) and turned it into such a fucking spectacle. I said, that in a less-charismatic wrestler's hands, "The People's Elbow" would be the worst move in wrestling.
That's when I was informed about "The Worm". Needless to say I've been out of wrestling for a decade or so, so I didn't believe my friend until he showed me a video of it being executed.

I hate to be pedantic, but you misspelled "best."

The fact that the crowd chants W-O-R-M while he jumps around makes this transcendent

This is nothing short of a brilliant parody of the People's Elbow, literally the worst move in wrestling history. The fact that the Rock was able to use it to climb to the pinnacle of wrestling is a testament to how charismatic that guy really is.
